"Come over now. I need your help."
I started my engine, got the wiper wiping off the condensation on my windscreen. A while later when I appeared at her door she was already there waiting. The night light shone through her sheer pyjamas.
"Yea?"
She said nothing.
I pointed to her text message on my phone.
It read, " <3 ".
She looked and looked away. Still, she said nothing.
It is strange how we love being in each other's company.
Yet we whisper so softly when we speak of it.
Yet we close our eyes as we turn our head to it.
Yet we wince at the thought of
Suddenly she said, "Does it matter? So long we are here together."
