Yay. Finally they give me medicine in their original packaging.

Anyway I just got steroid shots for my knees. The shins are fine already. Just that the bone doesn't run smooth with calluses on it.

I don't quite mind injections but cortisone shots are major bitches.

The procedure goes:
He marks out the spots on my skin with a ball-point. He draws some white liquid. Then some clear liquid. Changes needle. Wipes with alcohol. I get distracted by some nurse/staff entering the room during the injection. Look down to see the needle shorten by three quarters (The needle's about 6cm long). Pushes the plunger in a little and he waits, with the needle in. Sometimes the needle changes direction. It can be pointing south and he rotates it north, with the needle still in. Pumps in a total of about 2cm^3 (that's a lot from a needle). You can see even see a little bump on your skin.

I'm perfectly fine if you are giving me a shot on my ass or thigh, but woah, those are joints. (the pain is just slightly lesser than a local anesthetic shot.)

I had one done a few months ago for my wrist. I could finally relate it to my homie who got shots for his back due to judo injuries.

I finally bought a pill box (and I'm going to leave that on my work desk just to shock people. haha)

mostly painkillers
